Did you know that there is an article of the Italian “Rules of the Road” that describes specifically how pets have to be transported in cars? Article 169 states that “…it is forbidden to transport more than one domestic animal in the same car in a way that can be harmful or dangerous for the driver. It is permitted only the transportation of more than one domestic animal as long as they are secured in proper travel crates or in the luggage compartment, which has to be separated from the rest of the car by a proper net…”
